The Muppet Movie Selected for National Film Registry

The Library of Congress announced on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, that The Muppet Movie is among the 25 films selected this year out of hundreds of nominations for inclusion in the National Film Registry.  The film, which just had its 30th anniversary this year and was the feature film debut of the Muppets, joins the list of films preserved by the Library of Congress for their cultural, historical or aesthetic significance.
