First monthly Jim Henson’s World program for 2022 at Museum of the Moving Image, NY.

The imaginative, playful, creative, and prolific film and television work of Jim Henson is celebrated in a recurring screening series at Museum of the Moving Image, organized by Craig Shemin, President of The Jim Henson Legacy. These events featuring classic and contemporary works by or related to Henson often include a special guest appearance.   • January 8/14: The Muppets (2011 feature film ) screening.
  • February 5/11: Muppet Treasure Island (1996 feature film) 26th Anniversary screening.
  • March 12/25: Jim Henson: Commercials and Experiments curated compilation, revised in HD screening, hosted by Craig Shemin.
  • April 16/22: Jim Henson Tele-Visionary curated compilation hosted by Craig Shemin.
  • May 7/13: The Muppets: Action Hero Sci-Fi Horror Spectacular curated compilation hosted by Craig Shemin.
  • June 4/10: Henson Broadway Tribute curated compilation hosted by Craig Shemin.
  • July 2/8: 50th anniversary Muppet Musicians of Bremen screening and presentation hosted by Craig Shemin with special guest Bonnie Erickson.
  • August 13/19: Looking at Luis: The Best of Emilio Delgado on Sesame Street presentation hosted by Craig Shemin and the Delgado family.
  • September 24/30: Celebrating Jim Henson’s Birthday with “Sam and Friends” screening and conversation between curator Barbara Miller and Craig Shemin followed by a book signing.
  • October 15/16/21: Happy Henson Halloween curated compilation hosted by Craig Shemin.
  • November 16/December2/3: Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas 45th Anniversary screening and presentation with Craig Shemin.
  • December 17/24: The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992 feature film) 30th Anniversary screening and presentation hosted by Craig Shemin.
